The Beginning of the Unique Marina Restaurant, Tides, at Essex Marina
After spending much of their careers in the corporate world, Lindsay and Curt jumped on an exciting opportunity to purchase and manage the Essex Marina back in 2010. Uniquely nestled amongst the Essex River’s salt marshes, they soon realized the marina was the perfect location to incorporate a locally sourced, farm- to-fork seaside dining experience – and so was born, the restaurant at Essex Marina.
With providence in Lindsay and Curt’s favor, local Essex residents, Heather and award-winning Chef Frank McClelland soon joined the Tide’s venture, creating a coastal New England menu with cuisine that is brilliant in flavor and form. A recipient of the James Beard Foundation Award for best Northeast Chef, and owner of Boston-based restaurants, La Brasa, and L’ Espalier, Chef McClelland is a true master in his own right.
